"If we continue to move as we have done in the last month in terms of the pandemic, the opening of restaurants on June 1 is something absolutely achievable," stated Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday, during a government video conference on the preparations for the lifting of curbs for coronavirus.

The development ministry will recommend that restaurants be allowed to open earlier if there are no coronavirus cases as Greece gradually returns to normal, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Monday in an interview with ANT1 TV.

Greece expanded its measures of closures on Friday to prevent the spread of coronavirus epidemic by ordering the shutdown of coffee shops, bars, malls and restaurants.
