With defense, armaments and strategic cooperation in energy and connectivity as the main axes, Greece, Israel and Cyprus are strengthening their common axis, sending a message of stability to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, with Ankara and Tehran as the recipients.

A series of issues concerning the Eastern Mediterranean area and its economy were discussed at the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Jordan held via video conference on Wednesday. The three countries also agreed to further deepen their cooperation in a series of matters. Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias briefed his counterparts on Turkey's provocative actions and on its efforts to encroach on Greece's sovereign rights.

Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. George Katrougalos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, and Minister of Foreign Affairs & Expatriates of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Riad Malki, held a trilateral meeting today in Athens.
