A trilateral meeting between Greece,Cyprus and Egypt on diaspora issues is being held in Nicosia on Tuesday, with the participation of Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Terens Quick, the Presidential Commissioner of the Cyprus Republic Fotis Fotiou and Egyptian Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram.

The first trilateral meeting of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt on issues of the Greek diaspora will take place in Cairo on Monday, Deputy Minister of State for Coordinating Government Operations Terens Quick said, hailing the Greek-initiated meeting that was finalised on Friday.

"The trilateral meeting of Greece-Cyprus-Egypt will send a message of peace, prosperity and stability in the region," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Wednesday ahead of a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.
