Islands with high tourist demand and viral loads are in threat of entering a grid of suffocating control.

Greece's major tourist islands will have completed their vaccinations by the end of June, Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias said at Wednesday's regular live briefing on the pandemic, while 32 of the country's smaller islands have already done so. 

The first covid free areas in Greece are going to become the Aegean islands by the end of April, as vaccination efforts are intensifying in tourist destinations hoping for an influx of tourists.
