State Minister Akis Skertsos cited the new annual report from The Economist regarding the functioning of democratic institutions.
"The Muslim Minority of Thrace is a religious minority. The Treaty of Lausanne of 1923, which governs its legal status, does not allow for multiple interpretations, and its religious-not its ethnic-character is indisputable," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized on Thursday in its response to the Turkish Foreign Ministry regarding the Muslim minority of Thrace.
“The Mayor not only refused but actively fought the project on Vasilissis Olgas,” stated Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni following journalists’ questions to the ministry regarding remarks made by the Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, about the redevelopment of the road.
