The end of the year is always a tug-of-war between nostalgia and anticipation. We bid farewell to the highs (and lows) of the past 12 months while secretly hoping the new year brings something even better. By January, of course, we’ve mostly forgotten the emotional roller coaster—but one year-end tradition never fades: Google’s annual lists.

Students from the Alimos Music School and the Cultural Association of Eretria, “Konstantinos Kanaris,” brought holiday spirit to the Maximos Mansion, on Wednesday Dec. 24, singing traditional Christmas carols for Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his family.
