Koufodinas rants against maximum security prison

Jailed 17 November terrorist Dimitris Koufontinas, is again in the media, after the controversial publication of his memoirs, with a letter blasting the construction of the new maximum security prison.

Dendias "better quality immigrants" comment raises tensions

On Thursday, January 30, the Greek Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Dendias criticised the European Union’s Dublin Regulation on asylum responsibility. In an interview with Skai Radio he stated that the Greek government is opposed to Dublin III as it leaves Greece in the same position. “We cannot alone carry the responsibility. We call for burden sharing among EU members,” said Dendias.

Police bounties old and new

 The announcement by citizen protection minister Nikos Dendias bounty of a 4 million euro bounty for terrorists, did not come as a urprise, as bounties have been set before.
