Greece may be in the midst of economic and political turmoil, but tourism is still going strong, according to the latest figures released by the Bank of Greece, which reveal a 20.8 percent rise to 7.56 million in the number of incoming tourists to the country in the first six months of the year.

Assistant Financial Prosecutor Yiannis Dragatsis on Tuesday asked the Supreme Court public prosecution to forward a request to Parliament, asking for the suspension of immunity from prosecution of Syriza MP and parliament deputy speaker Alexis Mitropoulos so that he might face charges of tax evasion and money laundering.

Όπως προκύπτει από τις αεροπορικές αφίξεις στα κυριότερα αεροδρόμια της χώρας, από την αρχή του έτους έως την 31η Ιουλίου, συνεχίζεται η ανοδική πορεία του ελληνικού τουρισμού με συνολική αύξηση αφίξεων +6,9% σε σχέση με το αντίστοιχο διάστημα του 2014.
