US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sent a letter to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias made it known on Tuesday morning in Parliament.

In a particularly relaxed and pleasant climate, Kyriakos Mitsotakis was the official guest of US Vice President Michael pence at the State Department.

Pompeo to visit Cyprus on 6 January
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit Cyprus on January 6th.
Cyprus will be the last stop of Mr Pompeo's Asian tour, in a move of high political symbolism. The US Secretary of State will return to Washington the next day to attend the State Department's 8th reception in honor of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
