- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Talented Greek composer, singer and performer of lyra, the emblematic bowed string instrument of Crete, Psarantonis will contribute with his heavenly music in the creation of the original film score for Loin des Hommes (Far From Men) – a French film written and directed by David Oelhoffen.
The music for the film was written by popular Australian singer and songwriter Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. The soundtrack will be released through Goliath Enterprises on 18th May 2015 and it will feature two tracks with Psarantonis participation.
Loin Des Hommes, a film set in Algeria’s Atlas mountains in 1954 and starring Viggo Mortensen and Reda Kateb, was a triple prizewinner at the Venice film festival (2014).
