This is an international medium that highlights more than 83,000 murals in 1,918 cities worldwide. In addition to this distinction, the mural of “KLE” will be able to be included in the list of the best creations of 2025 that will be voted on in the coming period by the followers of Street Art Cities.
Regarding the mural, it adorns a multi-storey building in the heart of the city and emerged after an invitation from the Municipality of Kalamata to the artist Kleomeni Kostopoulos. It presents a female figure inspired by Maria Callas, surrounded by elements of nature that symbolize harmony, rebirth and the deep relationship of man with the land of Messinia. The work has already managed to become a point of reference for Kalamata, attracting the interest of residents and visitors.
The creator himself describes his mural as “a work that embraced the facade of an entire building with the aim of bringing a little poetry, color and imagination to the heart of the city. The figure of Maria Callas, among branches, birds and fruits, symbolizes the connection between people and nature, a relationship that in Messinia, and especially in Kalamata, is always alive and present."
