Venizelos' Speech at the UN

In his speech at the 68th General Assembly of the UN, government vice president and foreign minister, Evangelos Venizelos, highlighted a number of issues including illegal migration, the concern of Greece for peace and stability in the Middle East, relations with FYROM and Turkey, and the Cyprus issue.

Greece, Egypt, Cyprus Ministers Meet on EEZ Deliniation

The delineation of sea zones among Greece, Cyprus, and Egypt were at the focus of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries, at the sidelines of the 68th General Assembly of the UN. The meeting took place at the offices of permanent representation of Egypt.

Netherlands Return Stolen Cypriot Icons

The government of the Netherlands has decide to return four icons dating to the 16th century to the government of Cyprus. The icons, originally housed in the monastery of Christ Antifonitis in occupied Keryneia, were looted after the Turkish invasion of 1974.
