- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The director of the Pediatrics Surgery at the G. Gennimatas hospital in Thessaloniki was arrested a couple of days ago, charged with asking for a thousand euros in order to operate on a patient.
According to reports, the parents denounced the incident to police, who set up a sting operation to catch the doctor. Banknotes were marked, and given to the parents, who in turn delivered them to the doctor as requested.
When the doctor received the money, police stepped in and arrested the doctor. The wayward physician was led to the Thessaloniki prosecutor for arraignment.
