Troika Wants Airport Shutdowns

The closure of 22 peripheral airports has bee put on the table once again by the troika, although the proposal had been dismissed afew moths ago by the relevant ministry.
The proposal initiated by German airline Lufthansa and the German advisers to public sector has already caused a storm of protests by the local communities that will be affected.
According to media sources the proposal involves airports that service remote, but also tourist destinations.
Specifically the airports involved are:

Alexandroupolis
Araxos
Kalamata
Nea Aghialos
Limnos
Chios
Kastoria
Kozani
Ioannina
Skyros
Syros
Ikaria
Leros
Karpathos
Naxos
Milos
Paros
Kythera
Astypalaia
Kastelorizo
