Drug bust involves priest

A large police operation was launched after the identification and arrest of a person in Athens and the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis of approximately 150 kilograms. This arrest led to police investigations in the village of Vorizia in Messara of Herakleion in Crete.
Strong police forces of the Drug Enforcement and Security Units, have conducted many searches in houses, warehouses, livestock buildings and sites associated with members of the gang.
So far they have seized large quantities of marijuana and at least 10 guns, and there have made several arrests, among them that of a priest.
According to police sources 120,000 euros have been seized, amount that were derived from drug trafficking. After the completion of the police operation official announcements about the number of arrests, seizures and details of the case are expected by authorities.
