- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greece issued a demarche to Tirana yesterday asking the Albanian government to condemn the incidents that took place at the Greek minority village of Dervitsani.
The incidents referred took was the terrorizing of the community by ultra nationalist Albanians from nearby villages that went on a rampage attacking citizens, smashing property, and destroying cars.
The Greek government is asking that all necessary measures be taken find, arrest and punish those responsible, and the safeguarding of the Greek minority, especially in light of the festivities marking the entry of Greece in WW II.
