First ski resorts open at Florina and Grevena

The ski season opened for the fans of winter sports on the slopes of Pisoderi (Florina) and Vasilitsa (Grevena), northwestern Greece after the snow that fell over the last days in the area.
The snow level in Vasilitsa has reached 30cm and all ski lifts are open for visitors. Two ski lifts of total length 1,836m are open in Pisoderi and the snow has reached 40cm.
According to the weather forecast, snowfall is expected for Tuesday as well as for the coming weekend. If the weather conditions continue to be the same, the rest of the country's ski resorts will open successively until end of November.
