Varoufakis: We don't want the next installment

Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis, spoke to New York Times, and said the government decided to deny the dose of 7 billion. Euros and will review the whole of Greece financial support program.
"All we ask is a possibility to introduce a proposal that would reduce the cost of the Greek debt and will give the country a chance to breathe again after policies have caused massive social suffocation," said Mr. Varoufakis.
"We do not want the 7 billion euros. We want to sit down and think the whole program from the beginning ," said the minister and clarifies that the minimum dose could put the water back into the groove.
The aim of the Greek government is to restructure debt and an economy that will allow the country to obtain the money needed. The NYT said in the article that many of the critics of SYRIZA consider that its cadres seem to be unaware of the challenges of the Greek economy. Mr. Varoufakis, however, believes that the government could finance its obligations aimed at reducing the "so-called" primary surplus. Creditors are asking Greece to peg it at 4.5% of GDP, while Athens could propose reducing it to 1 to 1.5%.
Regarding debt relief, which is now in the hands of countries whose governments do not want a haircut, Mr. Varoufakis wants to begin discussions with other finance ministers to find ways to reduce the burden and said the government soon will propose solutions.
