Reforms proposed by Athens to gather over 7 billion euros

German newspaper Bild claims today that the reforms proposed by Athens to lenders will allow the government to collect revenue in excess of 7 billion euros.

Citing sources close to the Greek government, the newspaper says that the reforms Athens will present, will include the fight against tax evasion and black marketeering in gasoline and cigarettes, where the Greek state seeks to garner 1.5 billion euros and 800 million euros respectively.

The Greek government also plans to collect 2.5 billion euros from the taxation of large estates and oligarchs, as well as another 2.5 billion through the collection of outstanding tax debts from individuals and businesses.

Overall and in accordance with the figures given by the German newspaper, Athens seeks to gather around 7.3 billion euros in revenue.
