Tempi treasure hunt

An unusual individual request was submitted to the municipality of Tempi, requesting permission to engage an area of 5 hectares and start ... excavations in search of a treasure.

However, clear information about the "origin" of the supposed treasure doesn't exist, and all that is known is that the same person had requested and was authorized by the Forest Service in 2013 to conduct research into a woodland again in area of Tempi, but they were unsuccessful.

In other reports, the hidden"treasure" concerns gold sovereigns hidden since the occupation and the civil war in the region of Pyrgetos and, if the request is approved by the city council of Tempi, the bureaucratic process and the practical terms involved, are time consuming and complex until the processes reaches the excavation stage for the possible detection of the treasure.
