Glezos Says SYRIZA Program Not Convincing
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Historic left icon, and SYRIZA deputy, Manolis Glezos continues to differentiate himself from the party's main line, this time by doubting the program presented by SYRIZA leadership.
In statements to private radio VIMA FM, Manolis Glezos noted that "SYRIZA has not been convincing," while also saying that even he had no answers as to where the money would be found for the program. Mr. Glezos also called for elections as soon as possible as there is "incongruity between the people and those governing."
Mr. Glezos stressed that the current government is governing only because of the bonus fifty seats afforded to the party leading in votes, adding that SYRIZA will not use the bonus.
The veteran politician also brought back the issue of collaboration with the Independent Greeks party, since they were in agreement over abolishing the laws and memorandums that have been passed recently.
In concluding, Mr. Glezos attempted to mend fences a bit by saying he trusted the current SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras would not try and make it a monolithic leader-centric party
