“Vitsenzos Kornaros” runs aground

The ferry “Vitsenzos Kornaros” ran aground in the port of Kassos at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
The ship was going to Kassos from Sitia, with 227 passengers and 55 crew members on board.
All of them are still on board and there is no danger for their lives.
At the moment of its grounding, the wind in the area was blowing 8 to 9 in Beaufort scale.
