Crocodile Sifis found dead
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The most famous crocodile in Greece… the well known “Sifis”, was found dead in the lake of Potamon Dam.
It seems the crocodile could not stand the weather conditions during the winter, despite Crete's benign climate.
A worker in the area saw the reptile floating on the water.
According to information, “Sifis” was already dead for ten days.
For the last 1.5 months, Sifis was nowhere to be seen and the locals had started to worry about their exotic friend.
The crocodile was transferred to the natural history museum of Crete.
