More than 120,000 apply for financial support

More than 120,000 people have applied for participation in the financial aid programme of the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity.
According to the ministry, the total number of applicants has reached 120, 726 in two weeks.
More specifically, 44,391 people applied for food subsidy, 1,822 people applied in order for money to pay their rent, while 1,078 people applied for financial ais so they can have their electricity supply reconnected or to pay electricity bill.
However, many people applied for both food and electricity supply aid (35,265), or both rent and food aid (11,509).
In addition, 25,591 people applied in order to receive help for food, electricity supply and rent aid.
