Bathing tourist dies in landslide

An unbelievable tragedy occured on Glika Nera beach, Sfakia, on Sunday evening, when a 36 year old tourist from the Czech Republic died after a sudden landslide.
According to information, a large rock hit her on the lower back and after a few minutes she died on the beach.
Her corpse was transferred to Hora Sfakion by the medical inflatable boat of the Municipality of Sfakia and from there by an ambulance to the General Hospital of Chania, for a forensic examinaiton.
It has to be mentioned that Glika Nera beach is accessible only by the sea or by a path.
