Fofi Gennimata was elected PASOK's fifth party leader late on Sunday. "I take the responsibility of the party with full knowledge of the difficulties," Gennimata underlined.
"I believe that we can become strong and proud again, renew our ties with society. We will reform and change PASOK. We will take initiatives to unite the democratic party. We will proceed with collectivity and the values of social democracy for a Greece of solidarity, social justice and development, with stable European perspective," she stated.
The candidates for the party’s leadership were Fofi Gennimata, Andreas Loverdos and Odysseas Konstantinopoulos. Fofi Gennimata is daughter of Giorgos Gennimatas co-founder of PASOK.
