Samaras resigns

Main opposition New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras resigned on Sunday.
Samaras called on New Democracy deputy and former Parliament President Evangelos Meimarakis to lead temporarily the party.
So far MP Nikos Dendias, MP Makis Voridis, and Peloponnese governor Petros Tatoulis have announced candidacies for the post of party president.
