Groupon pulls out of Greece
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Global e-commerce site Groupon announced on Monday that it would no longer be conducting commerce in Greece.
The business, a major discount coupon supplier, said it took the decision after making a detailed study of the Greek market.
US-based Groupon began operating in Greece five years ago.
The uncertainty in Greece’s economic and political climate appear to be the factors behind the company’s withdrawal from the Greek market.
Contact details have been made available on the company’s Greek website for concerned customers and businesses.
