EU Commissioner Moscovici's visit to Athens postponed

Tough times for Pierre Moskovisi as he lost his mother. The French commissioner will remain in Paris to attend the funeral and has canceled his scheduled visits. Today he was expected to travel to Athens to meet with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
His meeting with Alexis Tsipras was scheduled for 5 pm and sources close to the Prime Minister characterized the visit of the French commissioner as a move with an "aim to support Greece."
Pierre Moskovisi's father, was an important psychologist, specializing in the psychology of the masses and a co-founder of the Green Party in the 1980s. His mother was Marie Bromberg, a famous psychoanalyst, who had signed the "Manifesto of the 121" against the war in Algeria in 1960. Both were born in Romania, they were Jews who after the Second World War fled as refugees to France. The Moskovisi couple joined the Communist Party of France, with his father, in later years, leving the ranks of the party.
