Greece to receive 800 mln euro NSRF funds

NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) funds of 800 million euros are expected to be disbursed for the Greece next week as pre-financing aimed at development projects in the period 2014-2020,according to European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis.
The Commission's proposal for a change in the regulation concerning the disbursement of European funds for development projects in Greece will come into force as of October 16 aiming at speeding up the whole procedure, Dombrovskis underlined. Greece will save 2 billion euros in 2015 and 2016 as a result of the change of the regulation, explained Dombrovskis. Specifically, 1.3 billion euros will be disbursed in 2015 and around 0.7 billion euros in 2016.
