Vicky Stamatis released

Vicky Stamatis, held in a mental insstitution after her conviction in relation to graft committed by her husband, Akis Tsohatzopoulos, a former PASOK minister, was released late yesterday afternoon.
Vicky Stamatis, on the afternoon of Thursday, October 15 left the Dromokaitio mental facility and was taken to the hospital of Korydallos prison, to be released formally.
Noticeably overstrained, Vicky Stamatis exiting gave a big thank you to the lawyers, who helped her get out of "hell" as she called it and wished that no mother lives what she has gone through.
The lawyer of Akis Tsohatzopoulos, Ioannis Pagoropoulos using the joint ministerial decision issued on July 21 which inhibits (due to the banking restrictions) bail imposed on prisoners to be released, rceived the release papers of Vicky Stamatis, in consultation with the services of the Prosecutor Appeals of Athens.
This is a measure that applies to all sponsorships and other legal acts with economic object (fees etc.) and for all detainees or those accused.
The CMD is valid until October 31, 2015 but is likely to be extended.
If not extended, Mrs. Stamatis has up to 5 days after the expiry to pay 50,000 euros.
