Police Arrest 2267 for Debts in 2013

Police have arrested 2,267 persons for debts to the state since the beginning of the year and the enfd of September 2013, according to Greek police (ELAS).
According to the data relayed by public order minister Nikos Dendias to parliament, the total sum owed by those arrested reached 9,226,765,454 euros and 33 cents.
Police data also show that police handled another 365 case in which debtors were not arrested as they came to an understanding for paying off their debts with state services.
