Minister Seeks Solution to University Impasse
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Education minister Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos has called for a dialogue with rectors in a last ditch effort to lift the impasse at universities, but only with the provision that universities are open.
The minister has called on the leaderships of eight universities, as well as administrative staff representatives, to come to dialogue so that the state and the ministry can aid them in their restructuring,
The minister noted that efforts to place administrative staff in other state positions should be sped up, but stressed that any discussions cannot take place with the universities closed.
