Major Gets 29 Months for Illegal Weapons

A twenty month sentence with a three year probation was meted out by the Larisa court martial to the special forces major that was arrested on Friday, in Agra, Volos for breaching weapons and explosives laws.
The officer was given 18 moths for possession of illegal weapons, and other five months for failing to renew shotgun licenses. The final count was an aggregate 20 months with a three year probationary period.
As became known from the Hellenic Army General Staff an inquest has been ordered into the disciplinary aspects of the case.
