Tight security measures in Athens ahead of leaders visit

Draconian security measures are taken by the Greek police on the occasion of the Greek government holding the Meeting of States of southern Europe.
According to a statement of the Hellenic Police, during the event, there will be traffic arrangements and traffic diversions in the center of Athens, while the center of Athens will be "armored" with over 1,000 police officers to be on guard .
The emergency measures will apply from the arrival until the departure of the European leaders, and the routes from the airport to the center of Athens, Zappeion and other points the leaders will visit. On the route to be followed by European leaders, would stopping and parking is prohibited.
