The Greek issue will dominate the afternoon meeting of the Eurogroup that will start at 16.00. According to an announcement of the EU Council, the EU Finance Ministers will be briefed by the institutions of the second programme review after their visit to Athens in mid-November.
In an interview with radio station Athina 9.84 FM, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos stressed that the Greek government will not back down in the face of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) pressure for more measures.
"We have made it clear that there is no chance of us accepting all that the IMF demands with regard to the measures but also with regard to labour issues," he said.
