Europe changes and converges towards Greece's positions as regards changes in labour relations and this remains to be reflected on the negotiations with the creditors, Labour Minister Efi Achtsioglou said in an interview with Efimerida ton Syntakton.
"The government aims to the best possible defence of the interests of the employees. This is why we struggle for the restoration of the collective negotiations in Greece so that employees can seek better labour conditions," the Labour Minister stressed and added: "Our positions are aligned with the best EU practices and are supported by the International Labour Organisation. For that reason we also oppose to the deregulation of mass layoffs. Meeting the IMF's demand for the deregulation of mass layoffs would do nothing more than deregulate the labour market."
