Mikis Theodorakis publishes last book
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
On Thursday, March 30, Mikis Theodorakis presented his latest book, entitled “Monologues at dawn”.
Complementing the composer’s previous publication, “Dialogues in the twilight”, the book includes Mikis Theodorakis’s texts from 1996-2016, as they were retrieved from his archive.
“The ‘Dialogues in the Twilight’ – ‘Monologues at dawn’ coupling deals with my final attempt to bring together the end and start of a new Utopia as the culmination of my life and work,” said Mikis Theodorakis. In his book’s epilogue, the composer notes: “There is no doubt. This is my last book! I admit I am sad because of this, as I enjoyed writing various texts and poems long before I started writing music.”
