Foreigners with forged passports attempt exit from Greece

Four foreign nationals were arrested at the airports of Heraklion and Chania, Crete, when they attempted to travel abroad using fake documents, Greek authorities announced on Wednesday.
A 23-year-old woman from Afghanistan, a 23-year-old man from Syria and a 47-year-old man from Iraq used fake Italian, Syrian and French travel documents, respectively, in order to fly from Heraklion to France and Switzerland.
At Chania airport, a 25-year-old woman from Afghanistan presented fake French documents to travel to Germany.
The fake documents were confiscated and the holders were arrested and sent before a public prosecutor
