Fire destroys abandoned neo-classical building in Athens

Fire broke out a few hours ago in a building on Ioulianou Street, in the center of Athens.
Τhe fire broke out on the ground floor of the building, while strong forces of the Fire Brigade with 24 men and 8 vehicles rushed to put it out.
The building was abandoned and, according to information from the Fire Brigade, seven people, most probably homeless, who had found shelter in the abandoned building, were rescued.
The fire was put under partial control, at around 11 am, Tuesday.
