Fire in Amaliada: Village evacuated

A fire broke out in the Amaliada area on early Monday afternoon.
An evacuation order for the village of Dafniotissa was given, while the fire-fighting forces were being reinforced.
According to the fire brigade, the fire is in a forest area with pine trees in Dafniotissa in Amaliada, while 30 firefighters with 14 vehicles are operating at the site.
The firefighting forces are expected to increase in the next few hours as a settlement is nearby.
