Refugees moved from Lesvos to mainland

For the first time, after many months, the number of asylum seekers living in the camp of the Reception and Identification Center in Moria, Lesvos, fell below 6,000.
More specifically, this Thursday morning, 5,860 people were accommodated in the camp, as arrivals significantly decreased, but a large number moved to the mainland, to structures operated by the Ministry of Migration Policy.
In total, 7,850 asylum seekers live in Lesvos today. Of these, 5,860 in Moria, 1,140 in the Kara Tepe camp that the municipality operates, and the rest in non-governmental organizations and UNHCR facilities.
According to the official data released today, 1370 asylum seekers live on Chios, while in Samos, where the biggest problem is currently identified, there are 4,100 asylum seekers.
