The amendment on the social dividend will be tabled in parliament on Wednesday, Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos announced to the Greek parliament on Wednesday.
Tsakalotos also presented the amendment on the reduction of ENFIA, the real estate property tax, saying that the reduction will be substantial for the working classes and for the majority of the middle class.
On the reduction of taxation on the profits of enterpises, Tsakalotos said this was an important development given the large number of small enterprises in Greece.
"We had a lot of disagreements during the last year over the budget [and] the medium-term fiscal strategy, where the main opposition (New Democracy) said many things that have now been proved wrong. It is true that we handed out a dividend in recent years and we have explained the reasons we have over-performance. This year we will hand out a dividend of approximately 710 million euros. The amendment will be tabled in half an hour from now," said Tsakalotos.
