Israel-Greece-Cyprus Working Group on Combating Terrorism

The Israel-Greece-Cyprus Working Group on Combating Terrorism held a discussion in Athens on 29 November 2018 on the prevention of terrorist financing.
The meeting was held with the participation of high-ranking officials from the governments and security authorities of the three countries.
The experts exchanged information and discussed the current threats of terrorism, focusing on legal and regulatory frameworks to address its funding. They also exchanged information on national strategies in the fight against terrorism and agreed to strengthen international and regional co-operation on the subject through joint initiatives.
The Tripartite Working Group on Combating Terrorism was the result of the first Tripartite Summit in Nicosia in January 2016. The next meeting of the Counter-Terrorism Working Group will take place in Nicosia in 2019.
