Man found hung in Zappeion, next to cafeteria

The lifeless body of an unknown man was found earlier this morning in Zappeion.
According to first information, the unfortunate man found hung from a tree in the Zappeion gardens (to the side of Amalia Avenue) by crews of the City of Athens cleaning services at about 9.00 in the morning.
The authorities were promptly informed and the police officers cordoned the spot off, while a coroner and a crew from the forensic laboratories arrived on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, e is a man about 40 years old, but no more information has become known.
Police are examining all possibilities, without excluding criminal activity.
