New electronic platform for inventors
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
An electronic library designed to help engineers develop and register their invention will be launched jointly by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) on January 18, it was announced on Tuesday.
Businesses, small and medium-sized production units, start-ups and media, researchers and academics as well as independent inventors wishing to register a patent; an original design; and a new way of production or processing, can address themselves to the new electronic library.
"Patents, protection of industrial property and of research results are a comparative advantage for every scientist and business. We are all aware of the Greek paradox, that even though we produce many research results we are lagging behind in terms of innovation indexes concerning inventions that successfully reach the market," TEE President Giorgio’s Stations stated, and added that both the TEE and the OBI aspire to change this situation with this new initiative they are launching.
