DIMAR leaves KINAL, Gennimatas deletes Theocharopoulos
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Officially, the majority of the Executive Committee of DIMAR decided on a "divorce" with KINAL, after the removal of Thanasis Theocharopoulos, by Fofi Gennimatas.
However, it is a decision of the Executive Committee and not of the Central Committee that is the supreme body in the party. And there, it is estimated that many cadres - although they disagree with the delisting of Theocharopoulos - will want to remain in the Movement of Change.
At this meeting of the Executive Committee following a vote with 11 members in favor and 5 against (70%), the following decision was adopted:
"DIMAR remains firm in the responsible attitude of the Macedonian solution, which from the first moment it held on to this crucial national issue. For us, this is the truly patriotic stance in favor of national interests at such a critical time.
With this in mind, the DIMAR Central Committee, meeting on Sunday, January 20, 2019, decided to say YES to the House vote on the "Prespa Agreement".
Immediately after the decision of the Central Committee, the President of the Movement for Change and Head of Democratic Coalition PASOK-DIMAR dismissed the President of DIMAR from the KINAL Parliamentary Group.
