Operation to rescue man trapped in a gorge on Corfu continues

A huge operation to rescue a 41-year-old man that lost his bearings and ended up in a gorge in the area of Ano Korakiana on Corfu continued on Wednesday under very difficult weather conditions.
The chief of Ionian islands Fire Brigade Andreas Rizos said that access to the specific area is extremely difficult. Two fire engines with ten firemen and rescuers were struggling to reach the man while a special rescue team from Ioannina is expected to arrive on Corfu to assist in the rescue operation.
