Suburban department store catches fire
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A major fire broke out on Sunday in a storage area above the department store "Danaos", at the junction of Mesogion Avenue and Perikleous Street in Holargos, Athens.
The fire brigade said the fire began on the second storey of the building and spread quickly, generating great amounts of smoke, due to the materials stored in that space. There were no reports of people trapped in the building.
