New police operations in Exarhia

A new operation took place at noon on Sunday featuring significant police force in Exarchia.
The operation in Exarchia involved dozens of police officers from various departments, such as Special Guards and Riot Control, who carried out checks on a large number of suspects.
According to information transmitted by AMNA, the police detained 20 people from Exarchia. Eight of the 20 indictments were converted into arrests, with 6 of them involving drug law violations. The other two arrested during the operation in Exarchia did not havethe documents necessary for their legal stay in the country.
Police sources said these operations in Exarchia, and elsewhere, will be ongoing as part of actions to combat crime and instill a sense of security in the citizens.
